Welcome to captivate and close. I'm Kinsey Machos, business consultant and marketing strategist. And I'm going to show you how to attract and enroll high-paying clients using my break through online marketing strategies, all without having to rely on complicated funnels, disingenuous clickbait, or spammy sales tactics. These are the messaging marketing and selling secrets that virtually no one is talking about. So let's dive in. Here, welcome back to another episode, it's so good to be here with you. Today, I am just coming off of the adrenaline of our launch like a queen, live launch. So meta, and it was so incredible, I will share some lessons learned. For that experience, we tested some new things. And we just have so much fun during our live launches. And it was fun to just kind of re immerse myself in sort of, quote, unquote, work, it's been a slower start to my year as I needed it. And they needed to really just get re anchored and really figure out what is next for the company. And I have been just giving myself the permission to go slow. And what's cool is the business was still generating revenue. And so it's really awesome to see how the fruits of my labor have really come to the surface and seeing how my team and the machine that we have built can run without needing so much of me or needing me to be on. And if I need to take a step back and give myself more thing time and really get back into the vision like things still run. So that was really cool. But I'm ready to sprint spring is a really big season for us. And really settling into some rhythm before we hit the summer where summer is just kind of a maintaining slash rinsing and repeating slash growing not really sort of like a go hard type of season. So I am just feeling that excitement for new. But I want to come to you with this quick little tip. And it was a reminder of how so many people are not doing this when we were having some coaching sessions with some clients around email marketing. Now while we are huge proponents of social media, in fact, this is one of the biggest tools we use to grow our business. It's the primary mechanism for how we grow and nurture our audience. And it is what we teach, we teach you how to create content that converts we teach you how to use the platform to grow your audience, we teach you how to convert leads into clients, it is really, really critical not to forget the fundamentals of email and when and where this comes in. Now, if you're just getting started, as a coach or consultant, it is not necessary for you to focus on quote unquote, growing your email list. I think that this is again, a shift in what people are hearing versus what they actually need to be doing. And it's important to understand just like with anything else, you need to focus on creating results for yourself. And the results come in clients and cash. You'll hear me say this all the time. But one of the things that I see people do is they focus on the metrics versus the revenue. So vanity metrics as in growing my followers growing my email subscribers growing my Facebook members, and there was actually an episode that I did about vanity metrics versus the things that are actually going to move the needle. And so while I'm sitting here telling you email marketing is an important piece. What I don't want you to hear or go and do is focusing on growing your email list, there's a difference. You will create clients you will create cash, and a byproduct of that I want to focus to be growing your email list and nurturing your email list right so if you think about the difference here and I'll actually link up in the show notes and episode I did about this when you know how to create results for yourself in alignment to what you want. You will spend more time doing the things that move the needle right I see so many people focusing on why I need to grow my following First I need to grow my Facebook group members first I only have this amount to you know I only have this number of things available to me which then equals that I will not be successful. That is what your brain is telling you. But the none of that is true. And when you actually sit down to produce results, and you are working in alignment to that you will move so much faster. And so an example of this would be to sit down, work your business, I am not going to have the thought, I need to grow my email list because that would drive very different behavior than I'm going to get clients today. Now, that being said, what you can make sure is do you have the assets? In your toolkit to be able to support a growing email list? Do you have an opt in page where people can go in and get a lead magnet? Or during a free masterclass? Do you even have a email marketing platform? So that's a good start. But what I find, even with my Higher Level Mastermind clients is they have thousands of people on their email list, and they're not even talking to them. And so it's really important that this is a hundred% non negotiable activity that you're doing every week. What I know to be true is that a lot of as you grow, right social can be sort of that starter kit for you. And you can have conversations in the DMS. But when you think about growing to that next level, most of the conversions are going to come from email. Not only that, but you now have more control. I don't know about you, but I'm so annoyed of the algorithm shifts, it feels like my engagement is going to be like through the roof one week, and then it's like totally plateaued. The next. And a lot of people aren't seeing my content, a lot of people are not seeing your content. But you have direct control with your email marketing list, you have access to their inbox, right? capture attention and give them what they need. And you don't have that control with social media. Not only that, but your account could go away at any moment, right, I have friends all the time, their platforms get banned, because they said something that Facebook or Instagram didn't like, and so forth. And so it's really important that this is something that you have, that you're growing as a byproduct of you getting clients creating cash. So getting an email marketing platform, I love ConvertKit. And getting into the habit right now of emailing them at least once a week, if not twice my mastermind clients, they've committed to two times a week. And here's what's really cool. So I thought I was sort of unique in this way. But in speaking with my mastermind, women, they also shared that they have resistance when sitting down to write an email, and I am so this way, I've never been able to, I can't say never, it is harder for me to sit down and write an email than for me to sit down and write a piece of content for social. And so I want you to kind of remove that barrier and just write content in the way that you write content. And the easiest way to do this is just write content for social, and then repurpose it to email. It's so simple, of course, there's going to be some finessing in there to make it a little bit more quote unquote, email friendly. But this is the best way to get more out of your best content and getting in front of actual eyeballs and keeping your leads hot. Most of you might be thinking, well, what if they see the same piece of content twice, first of all, it's actually less likely that they will, again, only a small percentage of your social media audience is seeing your content. But also, they consume it differently. When they read content on social versus open an email, it's different. But at the end of the day, it does not matter. redundancy and repetition is a very good thing. And so never never let that get in the way of you getting more of your content out to your best people.Kinsey Machos:
So this is your reminder, do not forget about your list, I'm telling you that having an email list gives me so much more comfort, because especially nowadays, when I just like I don't even know what the algorithm is going to do on social. But I can run a seven day email campaign to my list and make $36,000. Right, I don't necessarily have that ability directly to social, because again, I can't control who sees my content that day, what call to action. They're seeing what link they're clicking on. And so email is like foundational, this is something that we teach you is sort of like have it there. Don't focus on it. Don't worry about it. But definitely as you're growing to six, multiple six figures, this is one of the critical elements of your overall marketing strategy. One of the best ways to grow your email list as you're just getting started, is yes to have a free lead magnet, but I believe that it's more fun. And we've actually the primary way we've grown our list is through our live launches, right? So whenever we have a masterclass or a free challenge or a workshop people opt in to that thing to that experience. And now they're on our email list. And so you got to do what's easy and simple for you, especially as you're getting up and going, you don't need to be consumed with the tech, you don't need to be creating really amazing Canva PDFs, just create something of value to your potential clients and share. Right, I find that a lot of people, they create these incredible lead magnets, and then put a link in their bio, but they never talk about it. Never talk about it, right. So again, it goes back to having the assets in place, but then also focusing on those elements. So if you are creating things for your audience, but you're never talking about it, including your paid offers, that is a problem. So I hope this is helpful for you. And a really, really good reminder to continue to nurture your email list. It can be simple. Repurpose your best content, don't make quote unquote, growing your email list of priority. However, it is just what you do. It's what you do as you grow as a byproduct of you getting clients, creating launch events, you know, creating free experiences free resources for your people.
