The Secret to Building Credibility with Your Audience

In order to grow your business, you need to become an expert in your niche and build credibility with your audience.

And the secret to building credibility is through ‘expert status’ content.

Here are the types of content you should be creating in order to go above and beyond your audience knowing, liking and trusting you to actually hiring you or buying from you. 


This is a huge piece of content that you should be really hitting. This is something you should address on your social media, your website and your sales pages. You need to know what your ideal client’s objections are and work to bust those objections consistently. 

In order to fully understand what your ideal client’s objections might be, ask yourself this question;

What beliefs does my ideal client have about themselves, my products/service, or ME that is stopping them from buying from me?

Understand that the only thing standing between you and your ideal client is their objections;

I don’t know enough yet.
I don’t have enough money.
I don’t have enough time.
That won’t work for me.

…are some common objections, but go deeper. 

Take some time to think about your ideal client, and what they believe or are experiencing in their lives and in their businesses that is serving as an objection to purchasing your product or service.


A commonly overlooked piece of content, yet one of the most important! Testimonials alone will help you scale your business. There is something so powerful about people seeing the results of your programs or services from other real people. 

You don’t only have to share standard, formal testimonials gathered through an end-of-services survey. Utilize things like Facebook comments, messages, texts…..anything that talks about wins through your services or experiences. You should always be providing that additional social proof that others need in order to believe in your products and services. 

Mindset and Beliefs

This is the mindset that your people have to be in or believe as it relates to what you’re selling. This is where we prompt our audience to think differently themselves and about what we sell. With entrepreneurship (and well, all of LIFE), it’s basically 90% mindset and 10% strategy. Because of this, I’m sharing a LOT about the weaving of mindset vs. strategy and what other entrepreneurs need to know and believe in order to be successful in business. 

Strategy and How-To

This is the technical piece of your expertise (the 10%). Think about what your audience needs to know at a high level about your programs and services. Take bits and pieces of your strategies and methods and share them with your audience. This will give them an idea of how you coach and what you teach. You can think about this at a macro level, but also the little tiny micro-pieces that you can include that will give your audience quick wins.


This is one of the easiest things to create but is often overlooked. There’s always those set of questions or themes that you get ALL the time. Whether that’s from your general audience, course members, or clients. Pay attention to what people are asking you on social or in discovery calls, and you will definitely see trends and patterns in the questions being asked. Use these to create cycles of content and you’ll be surprised at how many people will say things like, ‘You’re totally in my head’.


How are you living proof that your offers and services WORK? No one will hire a financial coach that isn’t good with their finances — or a relationship coach that can’t hold a relationship. Right? 

Highlight how you are practicing what you preach by showing behind the scenes, day-to-day of you and your work. Show parts and pieces of your life that allow people to connect with you at a deeper level. This piece of content is truly how people will start to trust you. Don’t let imposter syndrome get in the way of you sharing your most authentic self.

If you take these content pieces and cycle through them, there is no way your audience won’t start to know, like, and trust you. This is how you establish yourself as the expert and grow your audience.
