I’m sure you’ve read or heard about some of the smartest or wealthiest people having amazing morning routines. They’re getting up at 4am, running half marathons and killing it by 6 in the morning.
I have three kids. So for me, getting out of bed in the morning is a task in itself! But here’s the awesome thing: You don’t have to do any of those “amazing” things like drinking bulletproof coffee or doing an hour of yoga in order to set yourself up for success in your day.
You DO need a morning routine, but it can be YOUR morning routine. Your morning routine is going to be personal to you and even seasonal as well. It’s going to change as you experience different parts of your life, and it’s not going to look the exact same as anyone else’s.
One size does not fit all, and that goes for your personal life as well as in your business. Just because one thing worked for that group of people doesn’t mean it will work for you. Really good marketing makes a conviction about what works and what doesn’t work. But the truth is, you’ve got to do you.
Your morning routine needs to fit into what you want and need to do, and it needs to set you up for a successful day. I want you to think about what your ideal day would look like, and then think about what you would need to include in your morning in order for that day to happen.
Think about your non-negotiables. For me, I get up before everyone else to spend some quiet time by myself visualizing what I want my day to look like & saying a prayer. Start with your one non-negotiable, and then add on to that if there’s time leftover. Now you can start adding things in over time, and adjusting where needed.
Your morning routine doesn’t have to be hours long. Start by creating one intentional habit that takes around ten minutes, and build on your habits from there.
